WHAT IS YOUR OUTCOME? IS IT EARNING, LIVING, PAYING REPEAT? WHAT’S THE POINT OF LIVING TO GET UP, GO TO WORK, AND REALIZE, YOU PLATEAU? Expenses outperform our income, and we know this because we are paying off mortgages, car, SCHOOL? What would you do if you were in James’ position?

DO WHAT James DID. James started his life in the hospitality field. He started his venture in the summer as a part time summer camp counselor where his first role was to show up, and help the senior counselors load up lunches, prepare the room, and ultimately, BE BOSSED AROUND. He wasn’t living that life to enjoy it, he did it for the means to learn what it was like to be an EMPLOYEE. Nothing wrong with being an employee he states, but it’s the load of duties he had to do for what? $20/hr, 30? ... It was around $13/hr. Did he get rewarded with MORE based on what he was able to do and accomplish? NO!

The next venture James turned to was working for a city job. His responsibilities were involved with working on a team of 5-8 people to clean up walk ways, roadways, and river beds where trash, and other clutter started to pile up, as well as take on environmental jobs. These duties included chopping down big weeds, and even worse, it was 80 -90 degrees out almost everyday. What was he rewarded? Nothing but $10/hr.

Is this starting to hit you? If only James knew about affiliate marketing back then, as a teenager, and maybe when it became a thing, he could do these jobs, but make TONS of money doing affiliate marketing.

Moving on to the next chapter of his life, James stayed on this part time summer job path, not clear in what he wanted to do. James said, I want to work for a company that was bigger, more fun, where there was interaction with customers. Guess what? That came to be true. A role as a deckhand to work on a ferry boat, while being able to do a restaurant job as a busser in the same summer. James was employed as a deckhand for 3 summers total going to school to study the field of exercise. That venture took off for a while and then he decided to leave exercise and pursue hospitality after his years on the ferry boat, and in the restaurant. In the restaurant industry, receiving his “residual” income or EXTRA CASH was through tips. HOW EXCITING!!

What James didn’t realize yet was that affiliate marketing was still in the future. Looking to expand his education in hospitality, event management was in his fore front. Events were fun! Interactive! Even more, BEING A BRAND AMBASSADOR was a start to affiliate marketing, but was he really thinking that way? In events, affiliating with a company gave opportunity for those who just wanted to earn money for fun, while being a role model or affiliate of the company at a booth was basically an in-person version of affiliate marketing. Did events last forever? NO, remember that shut down?

So hustling through to find income opportunities, James discovered a country club near his house, about 12 miles away. That was what James wanted to do in the summer, was work back in the restaurant industry. Was he WORTH a lot in the eyes of the managers? NO!! $13/hr for having experience, and being underpaid for the tough responsibilities, while he was getting less than beginners didn’t make him happy. YOU BET IT SHOULDN’T!

So after that was over, the next venture was travel. In the travel industry, there are affiliate opportunities. Just ask yourself first, what does affiliate in travel have to do with anything and why? In ​ travel, you as an agent are affiliating yourself with the “destinations, resorts, airlines, cruises, and so on,” while then relaying back to customers what you went through and helping them to make better decisions based on your experience. So, in the same year of 2022, James decided to look up affiliate marketing businesses and grow his own brand. He found a program, paid for this program, and guess what he paid .... Over $20k!! that includes, the startup, module, coaching, in which coaching is repeating the same topic for 6 weeks straight now. So, while being in the program, he was reached out to. Now James is just as happy in this program. He earned his first sale within the first month. Facing the difficulties of learning about affiliate marketing, he found a mentor that was ready to give his guidance on the spot to all students.
